If there’s one thing about me that you should know, is that I always appreciate a good pair of pants. So, without further ado, I will introduce you to a pair that is not only my oldest sisters hand me down but has accompanied me to many fun events. From Vegas to photoshoots, these pants can be easily dressed up or dressed down. Mine are from Express, but down below you can find a similar pair by clicking on the golden button. I definitely recommend for any fashion lover to own a pair of black and white striped pants, because you never know when you might need to make one hell of a statement! So here’s how I styled it for my TGS Studio Shoot that took place in Downtown Los Angeles.
When I was putting this outfit together for this event, I wanted to make sure that this look described my personality. When It comes to doing photo shoots, I love trying new things and I thought why not use a red striped belt with black and white striped pants. Sounds risky right? but hey I think it worked perfectly. The belt actually came with a pink Ralph Lauren dress, but I’d say go to your local Goodwill and buy some crazy belts. They always finish a look perfectly! Then there are my dangly earrings, which I got as a gift from my grandmother but she did mention they were from Dillards.
As for my t-shirt what can I say, I LOVE IT! This is definitely one of my favorite band tees because the colors are great and I adore the Ramones. So, I said “HEY HO, LET’S GO” & added it to the outfit! My second piece of advice is this: Band tees will always take your outfit to the next level! Why may you ask? Styling a t-shirt of one of your favorite bands is a great way to tell people a little bit about yourself and to portray your unique style. Even if your clothes look funky and a little far from “Tumblr style”, no one ever started trends by staying inside their comfort zone. Wear your favorite tees with confidence & zap! everyone will be following. Although my dad got me this one from a rock vendor on eBay, which is both two-sided & collector’s item aka very rare to find, you can get a similar one on another site by clicking down below!

SHOES! Ah yes, the best part of putting together an outfit is picking out the shoes or so I like to think. Putting together this outfit, I definitely wanted it to have a rock and roll feel, but I did want to add a girly touch. And what better way to do it than to add a pair of heels! These are unquestionably one of my favorite pairs because they can literally go with any outfit, in other words, they are quite magical. The pair I’m wearing are from Steve Madden.
Overall, attending my first TGS Studio Shoot was so much fun and I got to meet and work with amazing photographers and models. It’s times like these that I feel the most inspired, and hopefully, you guys find the motivation to be creative & overall just be yourself. It’s okay to be different and express who you are with your clothes, even if they aren’t a brand name.
